Rochester Exterminating, Western New York’s largest, locally-owned pest management company, announced that the company has earned GreenPro Designation from the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). Rochester Exterminating is one of the first 50 pest management firms in the United States to earn the NPMA designation which recognizes the company's commitment to controlling pests while addressing environmental concerns.
“Now, more than ever, consumers are seeking pest management methods that not only address their pest problems but also address their concerns regarding the protection of the environment,” explained John Zimmerman, General Manager. “In proactively seeking and receiving the GreenPro designation, we are not only responding to the need to be environmentally sensitive, but also assuring customers that our practices reflect 'green' thinking."
According to a recent Harris Interactive survey, 61% of consumers seek out pest control services they perceive as “green.” John Zimmerman pointed out that "green" does not just mean the use of less toxic products. The company's GreenPro designation reflects a commitment to operating their business in an environmentally responsible manner through recycling, energy conservation, service methods and supporting credible environmental initiatives.
